Storage
Essential oils are pure natural extracts from plants. They do have a shelf life and will eventually deteriorate and once this happens they can cause skin reactions.
To keep them at their best they should be stored as follows:
- Store essential oils in dark glass bottles
- Keep them upright and at room temperature, away from bright sunlight
- Essential oils are highly flammable and also may corrode polished surfaces, plastic and rubber.
- Keep essential oils out of reach of children and pets.
Carrier oils should also be stored correctly away from temperature fluctuations, direct sunlight and tightly sealed.
We would recommend that carrier oils are stored in the fridge to slow deterioration.
