Kukui Nut

Country of Origin: USA/New Zealand Botanical Name:  Aleurites Moluccans

Kukui is now the official state tree of Hawaii. The oil is produced from the nut of the trees fruit and is light yellow in colour. It is a light oil that is easily absorbed by the skin and suitable for all skin types, especially dry, mature and environmentally stressed skins. It is very nourishing and moisturising.

This oil can be used for face or body massage and can be blended up to 10% with other carrier oils. It contains vitamins A, C and E and soothes dry and itchy skin.

It was traditionally used by Hawaiians to protect and heal the skin from the sun and drying wind. It is therefore a good oil to use after sun exposure or to soothe the skin after outdoor persuits.
